8th Grade Science
Today students received supplies so that they can start building their own flashlights!
Students are challenged with designing and building a flashlight that meets the following requirements: 1. The flashlight works with at least three bulbs. 2. The flashlight serves at least one other function. 3. The flashlight makes sense as a tool for a character in the science fiction book recently read. The project has three parts: 1. The flashlight itself 2. A one page report with schematic and circuit drawing 3. A Shark Tank style pitch presentation The due date for all three parts is December 8th. Hello Everyone!
Today we built our own batteries using pennies, zinc washers, and salt water. Everyone successfully made one that exceeded expectations. HOMEWORK: Do not forget that your final novel projects are due Friday and that you should be finished reading your novel as well. |
