8th Grade Science
Students did a great job on their first round of book discussions today. Everyone had great insights to provide.

We continued our exploration of parallel and series circuits today. Students also learned how Ohm's law is affected by both setups.
HOMEWORK: Continue with the reading of your book. We will begin discussions on Monday! Students did a phenomenal job learning how to build circuits today. We set up series circuits and learned what happened to the voltage at various elements, then we started the process with parallel circuits.
HOMEWORK: Do not forget to keep reading in your novel choice. Your first discussion day is Monday. Here is a link to the book project document: Science Fiction Book Work We took more notes today on electricity. Students showed excellent curiosity as we discussed the basics of a circuit.

We began our unit on electricity today. Students were able to build a version of a Voltaic cell battery using pennies, washers, and salt water! The lab was a lot of fun.

Today, students took their test. They also finished their Energy Grid power game.
